This isn't my experience with Google Assistant. In the last year or two it seems to misunderstand commands quite frequently when it didn't before. If the replacement is worse thats a real shame for a technology that had so much potential to widen accessibility.

The startup I work at uses a shipped-frozen specialty item from Europe and three times now it has been held up in Customs or otherwise sitting around at a shipping terminal waiting, spoiling.

Also anecdotal: My step-uncle (a conservative Catholic who converted to evangelical) is doing mission trips to Texas to help immigrant families. He is very much against the Trump approach.
It's completely anecdotal, but the number of handmade Trump signs on my drive from Massachusetts to Florida have declined substantially. There was also a hand-painted "Trump Tariffs $$$$⬇️⬇️⬇️" sign.
