Found the cost savings opportunity
The numbers in here are hilarious.

Do you use AI on the job?
Execs: 87%
Managers: 57%
Workers: 27%

Planned investment by 2030: $5T
"Necessary" annual revenue to justify that spend: $650B
Current annual revenue: $50B
Three years into the generative-AI wave, demand for the technology seems surprisingly flimsy

pity the bereft cancelled man left with nothing but a comedy show and book deal
When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

Louis C.K.’s Next Chapter
In a new standup special, and a début novel, the comedian navigates murky, post-#MeToo terrain: not quite exiled, not quite welcomed back.

As I fall asleep I think of being in a strange room, possibly a hotel room, and looking up with my phone flashlight to find a guy in the corner of the ceiling looking vaguely embarrassed I found him there. This is called getting "poped."

This America is right here for us if only we wish to build it.
From Frederick Douglass's 1867 "Composite Nation" speech, a defense of Chinese migration to the United States at a time when anti-Chinese sentiment was intensifying.

I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

A band called 'Death' was punk before punk was punk

Formed in November 1971 by the 3 Hackney brothers, they were influential pioneers of the genre and, along with Pure Hell, the first all-black proto-punk/punk band.

Two things that make this video different from the pandering performative gestures we're all used to:

1. He already won. He doesn't have to do this anymore

2. This video centers a community organization and the good work they do, then promises that city hall will help them do it
Combatting poverty and hunger in this city will take every single one of us. Myself included.

final fantasy legends 2 was great bc you’d walk into a family home and the son would be a normal kid but his mom would be a skeleton or a slime and it was normal. this is the future liberals want. also u could eat meat and turn into various monsters. again just like the liberal agenda

Most people running for Cook County judge seats in March are currently attorneys. Do you have experience working with them? Inform our next judicial election guide by sending your tips!
As we work on our next judicial election guide, we want to hear from you: What should voters know about these attorneys and judges? If you recognize any of these names, send us your tips. buff.ly/DlOqYRA

Using the belief that creators are the "petite bourgeoisie" to justify pirating books/stealing art is EXACTLY what makes it so hard for anyone who isn't rich to pursue their creative dreams

If you steal our art, you PERSONALLY are preventing us from building sustainable careers
Honestly, people calling creators the "petite bourgeoisie" makes me want to snap.

We're working folk. And we work really hard. For next to nothing.

We're not lounging around eating bonbons. We're trying to figure out how we're going to be able to pay rent next month.

Truly bonkers stats that should give us pause
An astonishing 80 percent of the Louisiana's death sentences between 1976 and 2015 were later reversed.

A judge recently vacated the conviction of Chris Duncan, who had been on the state's death row for decades.
He’s Been On Louisiana’s Death Row for Decades. A Judge Just Vacated His Conviction.
Chris Duncan’s longtime claims of innocence were boosted by the discrediting of bite mark analysis, and by recent reforms now under threat from the state’s Republican leadership.
