I'd buy towns. Just "I spend a million dollars, get an entire town, give people bits for free and then never have to pay for a meal again."

And i'd do weird decrees, like "the only food stores that would pay rent are fast food chains" so I can see what artisanal fast food would be

Mamdani is going to win. The question will now be, "Can you reproduce this?" It's doubtful. He's talented. But it's possible, first of all, if you remember all politics is local, and the more local you get - the more people recognize you - the more things like age and parties cease to matter.

I don't understand why U.S. reporters so regularly seem to let politicians get away with 'I haven't seen that' about stuff a) they obviously know and b) is directly relevant to their job. Did they sign some kind of agreement never to ask a follow-up question?
