The Austin police department shot me in the chest with a less lethal round for trying to help a person off the ground during a protest. They fired tear gas at anti ICE protesters a few months ago. Do not be foolish enough to embrace them.

October horror movie 17/31 is The Endless. I liked this a lot, one I think I'll watch again soon.
Can't meditate too much on this without spoiling it, but it really is a wonderful love letter to Lovecraft without the racist bits.

October horror movie 16/31 (I've been sick, so I'm a little behind schedule) is Housebound.
This was fun, it's nice to get a horror comedy that does both parts well and without leaning into gross effects or huge amounts of gore. A good time.

I wanted to put the Patriarch upside down, but the silhouette just isn't great. Maybe in the future, with some effort, I'll make it work.

The placement, size, and depth all point to two ankylosaurus standing tails facing the other and walloping the other as hard as possible.

They recently learned by examining the fossils of an ankylosaurus that lived long enough to heal multiple wounds that it'd suffered repeated wallops to the side. They were able to work out these would be wounds from ankylosaurus clubs and that the club was likely used primarily for mating displays

I've been really sick lately, full days of sleep sick. I think it's mostly poor eating. Whatever it is, it sucks and as much as an adult I want to be about it, losing full days feels awful.

October horror movie 15/31 (one behind because I was ill) is A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night. I knew little going in and got so much more out of this movie than expected. It's an intimate and chilling story that you really should watch. Positively entrancing, a real highlight of the month.

Gee Hugh, I don't know. Maybe it's that a notoriously stormy country shouldn't have large, cheap, easily ripped fabric tied - at power-line height - to lampposts around busy traffic intersections? The racism certainly doesn't help either!

I'm taking a break from the horror movie a day thing, but just for today. I'm feeling sick, so it's been a very sleepy day where I just can't concentrate. Will watch a double feature at some point to compensate.

October horror movie 14/31 is Eight Legged Freaks (Poster censored for arachnophobia). This is a great homage to the campy 50's B-Movie. I've a lot of nostalgia for it, I first watched this in the cinema, age twelve, holding my mums hand as she was jump scared by every spider.
