Can I call myself a fan if I've only seen less than 1/10th of the series? Can I call myself a fan if I'm not emotionally invested in this shake-up? I want to. It's my own demons I'm battling with, and I'm doing it without helmet or spandex.

What I'm trying to say is that the lumps and bumps were what I found engaging, so as it got cleaner I lost a little interest. As beloved as King-Ohger is the constant use of green screen puts me off.
Same for all Toku, really. The charm is in the human fingerprints.

I also vastly prefer the pre CGI series of Super Sentai. The strange practical effects are my favourite. In Bioman, one of their special moves is a very clearly scared stuntman holding at arms length a prop sword that's actually on fire. /3

I've dipped into other seasons, not tried one I've not enjoyed. But fifty episode seasons are a big ask for a, let's face it, very repetitive kids show. I've friends that are HUGE tokusatsu nerds, but I've not the attention span for it all anymore. /2
