Last day of underglazing before City of Craft. Then I gotta start glazing and hopefully get everything in the kiln either Sunday afternoon or Monday morning. Take it out Tuesday, paint the gold lustre on and fire the lustre kiln Tuesday, open Wednesday and have a day to photograph everything.

Another thing! Small trophies for yourself or your friends. This one developed a hairline crack in the rim and rather than trash it, since it’s not for food, I decided to run with it and make the trophy look like it’s seen better days. It has a little crisscross bandage on the back too.

I have been weirdly reticent to share what I’m frantically working on for holiday markets in a couple weeks. I don’t really know why?? I think I’m just very overwhelmed. So here’s some fishmas fish and a couple loopy swans awaiting glaze.

This paragraph is a whole mess but that’s because I was attempting to convince my husband to let me use his netti pot to pour milk up my nose and down my throat.
I imagine anyone eating spicy food on a regular basis knows this already, but I just learned that you should not snort-laugh with a mouthful of spicy Thai curry in your mouth the hard way.

There are a bunch of beads and bits and bobs that I’ve had stashed in a drawer for ages and I have finally found a use for them. I’ve already made 5 bag charms and had a ball doing it.
Also I had a really good hair day (I just woke up like this) but nowhere to be, so you get a selfie.

I think my FIL thought I was being a little silly and annoying when I ask them to keep cucumbers out of the salad (he refuses to eat salad anyway, so he didn’t REALLY care) until today, when I walked into the kitchen right as my husband bit a cucumber and began gagging and coughing uncontrollably.

Next year (I say this every year) I would really like to start holiday prep early so I can make time to go to my favourite local ribbon shop in person instead of having to order online. They moved and are just far enough away now that it would be the better part of my day to get there and home.

It’s been quite a few years since we had snow in November and it was unexpected so of course I remembered yesterday as it was snowing that I threw out my winter boots at the end of last season because I was holding them together with duct tape. 😑
