I did this years ago and it's been great! My life without my Nazi uncle is better than life with him in it. I don't miss him one bit. And pretty much everyone took my side. Those that didn't? Cut them off too and don't miss them either.

I love how I somehow became “the finisher” for our family’s Thanksgiving, where I mostly get to sit around until the last 90 minutes of cooking and then come in and make like the three dishes I know really well that folks want from me.
