Oh wow, Dr. Darleane Hoffman, ISU alumnus and GOAT, passed away last month. Absolute legend, I was grateful to meet her in 2007 when she came back to ISU to receive an award. #Chemsky 🧪

I didn’t know she was my hero until I met her - a pioneer for women in the physical sciences. Generous with her time and happy to answer stupid questions about the theoretical Island of Stability from 25-year-olds. She was so kind, and incredibly driven, even in her later years.

A lot of comments on Mars rovers or Moon landings, but it's important to remember that the planet NASA studies most is Earth. This is less about cutting flashy things like moonwalks and more about keeping communities in the dark on climate, weather, agriculture, pollution, natural hazards, and more.

My friend sent me this meme, but then I had to go find the listing. I was not disappointed. #imaginativelandscaping www.zillow.com/homedetails/...
A large pile of rocks with a staircase that says Cresco IA $229,000 and then “this backyard is exactly what happens when you you let your girlfriend keep all the cool rocks she finds” A screenshot that says

Honestly I’m kind of upset the sentence wasn’t more substantial. Like, make him do the remediation every weekend for the rest of his life.
