"Ottawa U.S. Embassy spokesperson Ariel Pollock" has now been required to issue a comment on our foolishness.
'Made-up quote' in Canadian satire site The Beaverton fools Time Magazine | CBC News
In a recent article about the United States' strained relationships with other countries, Time Magazine included a made-up quote from Canadian satire site The Beaverton — seemingly as fact.

I understand why maritimers come to Toronto and think we’re unfriendly, but also…

every summer we go to my husband’s small hometown out east and he drives around on high alert in case he fails to wave to someone he knows, cause his parents will have heard about it before we get there.

This and many other delights at the Etsy shop linked in the thread. I must contemplate my vacant wall space.
Another thing I have been exploring this year is combining other media with cyanotype. This is a unique hand made multimedia print with linocuts and cyanotype on watercolour paper (11” x 14”). On top of the cyanotype print of Canada goldenrod, I made a lino block print of the wildflower 🐡🧪🧵

Good news! Some rando wants to offer me £6000 each for [checks notes] several holiday cards and understands the “marketplace can be complex, and I am willing to provide guidance and support throughout the transaction process”

Sure, seems legit

I was just looking over the new prints I made in 2025. Think about portraying pollinators. 🧪🐡🐝 This print shows a great little pollinator in the garden: a transverse-banded flower fly (Eristalis transversa) on Echinacea purpurea or purple coneflower. Because of its yellow stripes, tendency to

I'm going insane because people constantly recommend using AI for things and it is always, ALWAYS worse than repeatedly bashing my head on a brick.

It's like you have an actual problem & all anyone recommends is "have you tried talking to my cousin? He drinks bleach & doesn't wash his pants"

Today is Fibonacci Day. 🧪🐡🧮November 23 if written in MM/DD format recalls the #mathematician Leonardo Bonaccio of Pisa (c. 1170 - c. 1240 or 50) aka Fibonacci’s sequence (1,1,2,3…) where each number is the sum of the previous two. He used it to describe rabbit populations, but the sequence is 🧵
