I'm gathering all my cross stitch posts into one thread so I can keep track of what I've finished & posted.
The first cross stitch I did back in July 2020. I was have massive pandemic anxiety & decided I needed a hobby to help me relax. Saw this kit from Subversive Cross Stitch & thus a hobby was born.

Reminder: We spent YEARS reading thousands and thousands of articles on the Tea Party and how it was a true expression of the American people's will, and it never mounted anything nearly as big as Saturday's No Kings rallies. [1/3]
-the main characters are a black family
-the daughter joins up with a paranormal club with some geeky kids without there being some bullying plot
-the hilarious throw away bit about the principal being a Satanist but hiding it in the very Christian town by saying he “collects things”.
It had an unexpected but satisfying ending.

The one I’m watching now is “The Curse of Bridge Hollow”. Cheesy one about a town that gets taken over by turnip spirit. It’d be pretty generic except for a few things:
With @darklament.bsky.social in Wisconsin, I’ve been watching random Hallowee-ish movies.

One was “Girl Haunts Boy” which had a plot that was totally a YA book I would’ve read as a kid. Girl in the 1920s steals a cursed ring, dies, & haunts her house. Modern boy meets her & helps her move on. /1
Turn your volume on for this one. 😂😂😂

Perfection.
I love whatever is wrong with them 🙂‍↕️

This photo accompanying a news story about the heist at the Louvre is perfection.

the forced self-censorship gibberish we all have to do on social media now is having a devastating effect on the way people communicate with each other. nobody in a healthy society is saying "unalived"
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

It is deeply immoral that cashiers in the US are not allowed to sit.

I want to believe good art isn’t worth putting yourself in toxic situations to produce it but unfortunately the chain by Fleetwood Mac exists
Ouch. This one's way too close to the truth.

The phrase "trans activist" is goofy because like 95% of the time it's used it refers to a trans person simply existing.

Media, pointing at a woman buying a coffee: behold, a trans activist.

Woman: buying coffee is not activism stop being so fucking weird

Media: trans activist criticizes media

Guys new scamming method on bluesky. Please share this around. Dont fall for this stuff

Block, move on.
“ICE will melt in hell” would make a fantastic cross stitch pattern.
every smug internet communist tweet about showing up to a No Kings protest with an abolish ICE shirt to scare the libs is getting completely mogged by the real-life winemoms showing up with slogans like "ICE will melt in hell"

Seattleites are on the move for #NoKings!
Yeah. My brain automatically read it as “per year”.
