I’m concerned about two things -
One: What was inside the walls of the East Wing of the White House is highly classified: who will get to see it with this guy?

Two: What is a man with such a submissive attitude toward Putin putting inside the new walls, floors, concrete, etc?
WOW: The White House says the president's MAIN PRIORITY is his BALLROOM. SNAP is ending. Subsidies for health care are gong to double and in some instances quadruple plan premiums. The government is shut down. The cost of living is through the roof. And his priority is his ballroom.

Nat. Grid responded with a payment plan opportunity—call 1-800-322-3223 for more.

I'll keep fighting to support you.

"social profit"... there's an idea
Dutch Railways: social profit of €1.33 billion, financial loss of €141 million. It delivers 11x (!!!!) more value to society than it costs.

Via:
social inclusion
increase in property values near stations;
welfare of employees and consumers;
productive use of travel time.

Remember what’s coming: first, kill Affordable Care credits, doubling costs for tens of millions; then, cut Medicare half a trillion (sleazily, automatically) hurting seniors; then cut Medicaid by a trillion, pounding doctors, hospitals and nursing homes. It’s why we fight.

Let's put some spending in perspective:

*Reinstating the Covid-era free school lunches would cost $23B/year

*Housing all homeless in the US - $14B

*Restore Trump cuts to the Veterans Administration - $8B

Total cost - $45B

The GOP just gave the top 1% a $117B tax cut for 2026 ALONE

Priorities.

There are lots and lots of things I don’t want my tax dollars to go towards. Free school lunches isn’t even a blip on that radar.
Let me go on the record: as much money I have, whatever I can spare, I will ALWAYS want the extra to go to feed children

I don't know if this one is particularly "niche" per se, but lunches in US public schools shouldn't cost the students or parents any extra money that isn't already accounted for by property taxes. School lunches should just be a given. If you're going to make kids' attendance mandatory, FEED THEM!
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

The most obvious off-ramp for the shutdown is also the easiest one and therefore will never happen:
-Trump taps out and tells Johnson to cut a deal on subsidies
-Johnson puts a floor vote on the subsidies
-the Senate takes it up and then does the CR
-Jeffries bails out Johnson on Motion to vacate
