Every educated adult in the U.S. knows this but the senate shouldn't exist. There is no justification for North Dakota and South Dakota to have four senators between them when the combined population of both states is smaller than that of Chicago.

Note the timing of this Dem capitulation: Not when Americans are in food pantry lines, only when they're in TSA lines.
And there it is, folks. The AA CEO made the call.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.
The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.
People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.
And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

👇 THIS has totally backfired. I'm not sure which Senator did what now, but it makes me want to see the entire Dem caucus primary'd. I don't trust a single damned one of them
Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.

the only thing giving me peace tonight is knowing that these fuckers had literally NOTHING to do with our victory last week.
they can't take that away from us. if anything, we did it to spite them. they were useless all year.
they didn't like a socialist mayor in NYC?
BUCKLE UP, BUTTERCUPS.

Please put the Working Families Party in your mouth. They did wonders with Mamdani’s campaign. We saw how quickly his rise to collective awareness was in less than six months.
We can do that too, people. Everywhere. We hold the power. Screw Establishment Dems. Their time is over. It’s our turn now.

There will be some "Wow you can't make these people happy" sentiment but what's really happening is the Dems are beginning to reap the consequences of not really believing in anything. Choreographed maneuvers, too clever by half talking points. People have just had it

To be clear, this deal still needs to go through a debate and amendment process and more 60-vote thresholds to pass the Senate, and then it must pass the House. There's still room for constituent pressure.

The funny thing about this is that EVEN THOUGH the literal majority of shutdown days ever have been under Trump, they still play them like they're in the helpless minority and the big mean Dems are to blame, even though most don't believe it now.
All they are doing is making folks more mad at THEM
All they are doing is making folks more mad at THEM
Sean Duffy: "We have a number of people who want to get home for the holidays, they want to see their family. Listen, many of them are not going to be able to get on an airplane."

if you are food insecure for both the humans and pets in your household there is a tool called Pet Help Finder that can help locate pet food banks nearby and other free or reduced price assistance and supplies for pets.
no one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, should have to give up their pet bc of this.

This is because Intuit, Inc. gave Donald Trump $1,000,000 for his "inauguration." Intuit owns Turbo Tax, which makes money off charging taxpayers to file their returns.
The corruption is rampant and in plain sight.

This shutdown is starting to remind me of the 2023 WGA Strike.
AMPTP folks quoted saying they wanted people to lose their homes, etc. GOP saying this'll stretch into 2026.
The WGA didn't cave.
They won the day.
So, don't cave, Democratic Congressfolks.
The American people need to win. So, fight!
