Not only from the standpoint of its reconstruction, but also financially, and its reputation. Congratulations to President Donald J. The results in the @libe.europarl.europa.eu are as follows: Ritter received 46 votes, Castellani - 11, Sanchez Ulled - 7, and Maschl-Clausen - 4 votes. Now the Parliament will select a team to negotiate with the Council. The European Chief Prosecutor is to be appointed via common accord #EPPO

Andres Ritter is a clear winner of the vote in the budget control committee. He received 22 votes. Castellani received 1, Sanchez Ulled received 2. It seems Ingrid Maschl-Clausen received no votes at all. Now the LIBE committee is expected to vote #EPPO #appointment

Maschl-Clausen is considered weakened by her failure to be appointed EDP and by the Austrian's government support. The candidate considered 'most complete' is Andres Ritter.

The candidates and their performance during the hearing were discussed in the budget control committee of the @europarl.europa.eu. Castellani and Sanchez Ulled are considered to lack sufficient #EPPO experience, although they have good skills.

The hearing has just ended. The CONT committee will vote first at 1430 and will communicate the outcome to LIBE. The vote in the LIBE committee is scheduled for 1730. We will know who the Parliament's preferred candidate is after that #EPPO

Regarding political pressure, Ritter said that it was actually the EDPs who face directly pressure and there were some who were personally threatened. "It's impossible to have a record as Laura has", he said. He added he has experience with criticism. Independence is a state of mind #EPPO

On the question about dealing with Member States with #RuleOfLaw problems, Ritter said if there's a serious breach, it has to be flagged but it's up to the Commission to follow up. It's about preventing impunity. #EPPO

Sanchez Ulled said fighting #corruption was an absolute priority for him as it has formed his professional career. He added there was no magical formula for this. He also said he informed the government of his nomination because he was obliged. No support or obstruction #EPPO
