Hello new followers! I’m a horror writer/director with a penchant for practical effects and stop motion animation. I was one of the writers of the shudder original horror comedy ‘Destroy all Neighbors’ and have several new projects percolating. Stay tuned!

Good reminder that people who are smart in an endearingly dumb way (believing themselves to be time traveling wizards through the power of drug) are always in danger of just becoming Regular Dumb at a moment's notice.
Morrison invoking AI alike to "God" indicates a severe misunderstanding of how AI appropriates the work of thousands, including their own, and someone needs to rectify their understanding ASAP.

But also it's a severe disservice to their colleagues anyway to use it and justify it like this.
Reddit comment from comic writer Grant Morrison explaining why they use AI
Josh Eisenstadt hosted, naturally. What a life, to grow from TP superfan to ultimate host helping preserve and continue its legacy. Wild!
Harry goaz came on stage showing off his muscles, which sparked Jimmy Robertson to do it as well when she came on stage. Then when Sabrina showed up Harry tried to get her to do it as well, to a bit less aplomb I dare say
Ray wise, as always was funny and intense and hammed it up like crazy. He did his Paul McCartney impersonation which was pretty good!
Before the talk they played the final episode of season 2! Wild to see this on the big screen with a huge crowd!
A very fun night indeed aw yeah twin peaks and David Lynch forever!
At the twin peaks special event here in Tucson!

It’s funny how the old media depiction of Nazis was always that they’re evil but dignified gentleman and now they’re openly just like “Hello. I’m the Anime Pedophile”

I read something a while back that was like, oh, the billionaires solved the problem of the security team not being loyal: explosive neck collars, and it was like, oh boy, you're only making it harder on yourself
www.bbc.com/news/article...

"I once met a former bodyguard of one billionaire with his own "bunker", who told me his security team's first priority, if this really did happen, would be to eliminate said boss and get in the bunker themselves. And he didn't seem to be joking."
Tech billionaires seem to be doom prepping. Should we be worried?
The debate is ramping up about what happens if - or when - computer intelligence overtakes humans

I cannot stress enough that Wes Craven did not have a single goddamned thing to do with Freddy's Nightmares, and I have no fucking clue what Polygon is smoking with this article

academic elitists are erasing our culture and heritage
A team of researchers analyzed the anatomical dimensions of an infamous imprint on a Chicago sidewalk, sifting through photos and measuring mammal specimens in museum collections to put what they were seeing in context.

Their conclusion? The Chicago Rat Hole was not made by a rat.
The Chicago Rat Hole Was Not Made by a Rat
A statistical analysis of an infamous indentation in a sidewalk suggested a 99 percent likelihood that another rodent made the mark.

This is the good stuff yes!
Too many amazing stories from Gallup, and almost none I will repeat here. However I will talk about what I myself experienced. There was Something in the basement at the Old Rehoboth Church

Ok here's the thing: we shouldn't have to give up anything that brings us joy just because we live in a fucking nightmare country
Tariffs have rapidly increased the price of coffee—a drink with almost no nutritional value and lots of functional substitutes. Yet coffee may also be the one thing Americans can’t live without, @elcush.bsky.social writes:
The Drink That Americans Won’t Give Up Without a Fight
Coffee has almost no nutritional value and lots of substitutes. It’s also, apparently, too important to lose.
