Pierre Poilievre says he wants to “restore merit.” He needed to be handed arguably the safest, most impossible to lose conservative seat in all of Canada after losing his own seat.

Seems like the opposite of merit. #Poilievre

When an e-bike gets "bricked" or loses battery power it becomes, at worst, a heavy bicycle. When a electic car gets bricked or loses power it becomes, at best, a two-ton paperweight.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

In Canada and many other places it's 500 watt and 32kph (20 mph). The UK seems to have the most restrictive ebike rules, so no surprise people have ebikes not in compliance.

Remember, whenever you hear that “speed wasn’t a factor” in a deadly crash, what they mean is that the car involved wasn’t technically speeding. At least “not by much.” It presumes that the speed limit wasn’t too high to begin with.

When it comes to death from collisions, SPEED IS ALWAYS a factor.
