we were talking about prescriptions in group today and someone said "when I got here I was on Suboxone and Xanax and nobody wanted to refill those" "where the hell did you get prescriptions for both of those" "Vegas" (general murmur of "oh Vegas, yeah, of course")

HCMC, hennepin county health providers (healthcare for homeless, red door, mental health centers, etc), m health fairview & allina systems all have options to get connected to suboxone (most times same day) & several treatment programs who have a med provider also help initiate this

if someone is uninsured or underinsured and looking for walk in options for suboxone, red door has a program for that now; also CMS in N MPLS off W Broadway has walk in options for methadone intake & has different hours than most other methadone clinics which can be appealing if mornings are hard.

I'm trying to wrap my head around this from far away and maybe it looks different on the ground, but what is going on with addiction programs in Minneapolis? Because a google is showing me that area has absolutely no methadone or suboxone clinics and if drugs are really the issue shouldn't there be?

Some providers are doing suboxone, and generally the word gets out and their panels are immediately over booked. Clearly a much larger need than the capacity

That's what he *says*. Kicking a 15 year heroin addiction is nearly impossible to do without relapsing. His brain is permanently altered from heroin use. I bet he had methadone to help him, and he could be taking suboxone now but it doesn't fit with the myth he tries to create for himself.

The fact this guy who kicked heroin “with his bootstraps” is setting drug treatment policy is infuriating. Sure, we don’t need medical care, counseling, and Suboxone — all it takes is AA and to be a Kennedy.

N.A. is free-of-charge and has saved countless lives worldwide. Greedy charlatans push Ketamine, Suboxone, Methadone, and THC-9 products on Addicts preventing them from getting Clean: A death trap! Dr. Marino is just another greedy know-it-all who really does not know a damn thing about N.A.

- observed patient's green phlegm, which they coughed onto a paper towel to show me
- documented patient believes diarrhea is because "my IQ is leaking from my brain"
- prescribed suboxone films for fentanyl user
- scrutinized oozing leg ulcer
- comforted crying 42 yr old on dialysis

I saw that cruel video of an ER staff laughing at a "drug seeker" leaving AMA, and i wonder if it wouldn't just be easier an better for ERs that do have a lot of addicts to have a methadone/suboxone unit on site as a option for help?
Not necessarily an inpatient center but a logical place for help.

I was talking to a new addict pal and mentioned how Ozempic has helped with a lot of my addictive urges, but I still sometimes have bad moments (mentioned that recent day). They suggested I look into getting on bupe/Suboxone because it would ALSO help with my chronic pain.
Well, I looked into it.

Kratom was cool, but then it led to 7oh which, like Suboxone, has ruined my ability to feel proper heroin or low dose fent. The WDs are awful. Worse than benzos or alcohol. Hip, shoulder and jaw is messed up. Wish I could get something my Medicaid would cover
