I am watching what is happening in Minneapolis on Ali Velshi and one of the ICE officers (off camera) literally says, “It’s like Call of Duty. Pretty cool huh?” as they shoot whatever it is they are shooting. Agents walking around, guns unholstered for no reason. This is insanity

during gamergate i was fairly convinced there'd be someone out there targeting game events and game developers. gamergaters were making lists of a lot of us and tracking people after all! but guess what? it didn't happen. and i'm glad i went to the events i did so i could be around other people.

True. I did say 'but they can't spare this type of person' and don't think it's going on right now. But Russia was all up in Gamergate not to mention Brexit, so I don't forget how much they meddle and why, and ICE still struggles to get enough death squad soldiers to accomplish their ends.

It's lessened over the years, but I remember pre Gamergate how much people were in denial of Cod being propaganda just cause the news focused on game's gun use to excuse school shootings & in response, gamers were like "well, I've never wanted to shoot somebody". Neither sides were correct

The gamergate guys were also mostly US. Yes, gg is a clear precursor to where we are now in training people to use dishonest rhetoric to suppress women and diversity. It was young US men.
