Hi! I'm Chris from Airwindows and you can do this :)
Today the disassociation phase took the form of shuffling Eurorack modules. I bet as cabin fever season sets in, I'll be jamming.
I have the generative techno (as in Welcome To Free Luna) AND a piezo hand-drum section set up at the same time… and a GNARLY complex oscillator out of various stuff.

All of my this. I miss less interesting times. It's not quite to 'I miss my childhood' but those who know me, know how tough it would be to get THAT. woof. Everyday we're cyclin'…
how’s it goin? oh, ya know.

Agree, this is worth reading. Denmark is by FAR the better option and still to some extent problematic. Let's not make it EVEN WORSE. My sympathies are with the indigenous Greenlanders.
I’m guessing some assume that because Iceland is populated by blonde Nordic people that Greenland is the same, and please, I beg of you, spend like 5 minutes reading about what indigenous Greenlanders think of all this insanity:

Seeing what happens with my reverb generator when I crater the performance back to GDscript levels… by GZipping every single attempt at a reverb tail and grading them based on how incompressible they are. Will either be awesome or useless :)

I'm discovering Josh Johnson and oh my god, his boat stuff here :D I am mainlining this comedy routine this morning, for real

I have been in the music software business for 25 years now, and I’ll drop a piece of knowledge that will save you money: music software that has a hardware component always has the shortest lifespan. Don’t forget that when you’re looking at NAMM announcements.

A bit later this afternoon I get to see whether a weird genetic-algorithm preference translates into good giant reverbs. I'm generating 4x4 matrices and they are all coming out in bursts and gaps. Either it'll sound awesome, or obviously wrong :) it could be one of those quirky magic GA solutions…

Unlooked-for gifts: did my livestream in a discombobulated, anything-goes state, and ended up first talking about then hacking on IntoTheMatrix, my reverb delay times generator. I've been developing this thing for years, all my reverbs are now based on this work, and for 2026 I ported it to C#.

Working on building my 'post-reverb evaluation stage' into the program that generates genetic-algorithm reverbs that I've just speeded up. Might not work but if it does I'll start getting outrageously distant sounding reverb spaces. Nothing like a GA for optimizing for impossible things…

It's pretty shaming, and mighty necessary. And REAL dangerous to ICE: they like to posture like white people are more savage and cruel but now they find out how not wrong they are.

Minnesota Nice is a societal check on a potentially scarier population, one that can't handle conflict as smoothly.
White people are finding out now how dangerous traffic stops can be.

I'm loving what Venus Theory is doing with his philosopher arc www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkNd...

If you accept that 'feeding and housing yourself' is really a separate problem, this video is a terrific 'step back and take a breath' respite video that I can't recommend enough :)

Hacking on TapeHack2, and it looks like I have working tape compression. I feel like I'm gonna have to update ConsoleH and ConsoleX2's 'More' controls which include something based on TapeHack (when More is at 0 there's no change). Original version will remain downloadable, even the generic ones

Looks like I'm making progress on the new SoftClock and the 'arrangement cards game project' and new reverbs and still got video shot for the plugin this week. Rest of today goes to video editing

Done a little preparatory regular-plugin work, 6M trials into another round of reverbs (chances of doing well by the final quality stage went up somewhat but I've still not got a way to build that into the fitness functions), bringing more firewood in. I can probably livestream for a few hours today

First morning on the new 'IntoTheMatrix' reverb delays generator. Yep, it's running ten times faster AND does not crash at 26 million tries, either. Looks like I'll be able to produce better reverbs than I have done, you'll be hearing them, and people will be able to use them in their own stuff.

This is a pretty good day for going out and bringing in an absolute shitload of firewood before it gets real cold again. Won't be going through it quite as fast as I have to replace a fuel oil tank, but gotta have that livestream woodstove cam (and ability to be actually warm from home heating, too)
January 7, 2026 at 8:44 PM
It looks like I solved the problems from Tuesday's stream with speeding up IntoTheMatrix, my reverb delays generator. Should get close to a 10X speed-up, which will help the process of new reverb making

second degree murder, and specifically depraved heart murder, wherein the accused doesn't actively plan to kill a specific person or people but acts with callous disregard for human life - like firing a gun into a crowd or driving drunk - should apply to decisions made by CEOs and heads of industry
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
