What really makes me shake my head about this is in my area the majority of people I see flying these flags are middle to upper middle class people who live in decent neighborhoods and have expensive pickups and Boats and or RV ‘s in their driveways. The least tread on people 🤷🏽‍♂️

No small cars has been the USA carmaker rule since the 60’s. Big cars are more profitable because they can charge more for the size of the car.

Trump banned small pickups in his first term because big trucks are the profit center.

Protecting bad design is what killed US cars in 70’s, and now.

It is, yes. One of the bigger 70's headstocks. It's a kind of weird hybrid. Those pickups in it make it really heavy.

This is the weirdest I got. Baritone with Warman P90's. The top is walnut and laminated with just basic Baltic birch plywood. The design is laser cut with a cheap bolt-on neck.
My first guitar build. Setup and action are dreadful but it sounds good when it's in tune. ;-)

My "best" guitar is the one I call the Browninator. It's a 1976 Guild S-300. It probably qualifies as semi-weird, even. (Deets in alt, natch.)
The Browninator. A 1976 Guilld S-300. It has a mahogany body, finished in "cherry" which just comes across as brown except in very bright light, 3x3 tuners, with a mother-of-pearl Guild inlay in the headstock. Unlike subsequent years' S-300's, it has a bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and mother-of-pearl dot inlays, 24 frets, a tune-o-matic bridge, and a chrome parallelogram stop tail. Electronics-wise, it has a pair of Seymour Duncan humbucker pickups (Not sure which SD's... but alas not the original Guild HB-1s... ☹️), two each volume and tone knobs, a 3-way switch, and a "strangle" switch that throws the pickups out-of-phase.

UNIVOX: CUSTOM (U1885) circa 1973 Univox Custom - Les Paul style 2 pickup solid body electric guitar in black. This is an early to mid 1970's (circa 1973), Univox Custom (U1885) electric guitar. The guitar is black with gold hardware. It's a Japanese made knock-off of the Gibson's Les Paul. It has a rosewood fretboard, mother of pearl inlays, single cutaway, Gibson-lawsuit era headstock, 2 humbucking pickups, and Steel Adjustable Neck. Kimberley branded hollowbody guitar (ES335 shape), model VEGAS-66, by Teisco. Sunburst finish, replaced pickups (it now has P90’s).

We believe this is a Phase 2 HiFlier because of the low serial number (0108xx). The guitar is Orange Sunburst. It's a Japanese made knock-off of the Mosrites. It has a rosewood fretboard, mother of pearl inlays, double cutaway, 2 humbucking pickups, whammy bar, and Steel Adjustable Neck. It's very lightweight and thin. I was apart jockey at a big box store in the early 00's. The amount of huge V10 & V12 pickups that would be parked, usually like an asshole over multiple spaces. None of them with a scratch on their bedliners. Just mobile penile prosthetics.

Maybe the winner for the most unhinged thing I’ve seen in a game is Zeno Clash 2’s “FPS Challenge” mode that drops you in an arena starting with a bunch of gun pickups.

The goal is to kill enemies with attached intense particle emitters fast enough before your FPS counter drops below the threshold.

This is a rare, Mosrite Ventures Mark V electric guitar made in 1966 in the USA at the Bakersfield, California factory. It is a beautiful, offset double cutaway, two single coil pickup, solidbody instrument. The features include a Honduran Mahogany body with a German Carve, a blue finish, an adjustable metal bridge with individually adjustable saddles, a die cast Mosrite tremolo tailpiece, two metal strap pins, and a white pickguard, with a black stripe around the edge, on which all of the electronics except for the pickups are mounted. This guitar comes with the original hardshell case. Mosrite guitars were first established in 1952 after Semi Moseley left Rickenbacker and joined Ray Boatwright. They merged their last names to create the name Mosrite. The full "The Ventures" line, which was created from 1963 through 1967, when the licensing agreement with The Ventures ended, consisted of the Mark I, Mark V, Mark X (bass) and Mark XII (12 string.) There were approximately 1500 of these Mark V's made which makes it very rare. Description from VintageSilvertones.com

For next time around, I highly suggest using Thomastik-Infeld Classic S Series Classical Guitar Strings. They last long, stay in tune well, and sound great. They also work well with electromagnetic pickups (which I make) which is why I know about these.

Only issue is that nobody has manufactured a quarter ton truck in this market for over 40 years.

Even my imported 1994 Honda Acty has a payload of over a quarter ton. Heck even the little Toyota pickups from the 80’s were all 1 ton trucks!

This is Gene Moles Custom Dobro electric guitar made in conjunction with Mosrite in 1968 at their Bakersfield, California factory. It is a beautiful, double cutaway, thin, hollow body electric/acoustic instrument. The features include a redsunburst finish, white binding on the body and neck, one single coil pickup with a metal surround, a Dobro resonator, two sound holes on either side of the pickup with diamond shaped perforations in a metal surface, an adjustable metal bridge with individually adjustable saddles, a trapeze-style tailpiece, two metal strap pins, a tortoise-shell guard plate on which all of the electronics except for the pickups are mounted, and another tortoise-shell plate between the pickup and the metal resonator plate/cone. Although this is a GM Custom guitar, it is based on a Mosrite D-100 resonator electric/acoustic guitar. Mosrite guitars were first established in the late 1950’s after Semi Moseley left Rickenbacker and joined Ray Boatwright. They merged their last names to create the name Mosrite. Gene Moles has played guitar with Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Red Simpson, Tex Ritter and many more. In addition to also writing surf-rock songs for the Ventures, he was the quality control person for the Bakersfield Mosrite factory which made instruments for some of the country music stars in the late 1960’s. In 1969, he opened a guitar repair shop. This guitar is a beautiful find. Get your hands on this piece of guitar history. Description from VintageSilvertones.com
