Thanksgiving is problematic. Giving thanks is not. As someone who wants to remember the attempted genocide of indigenous people but also likes a reminder to practice gratitude, I like to use Indigenous People's Month to support (and be grateful for) indigenous creators. A partial list! /1

Finishing up my Serious playthrough of TFE and what strikes me as unique to this game in particular is how funny the escalation is. What if you shot that screaming guy and 20 more ran at you? What if we spawned so many goddamn frogs they get a boss health bar? How dumb can the weapons get? (1/3)

Luigi’s Mansion has something that I actually vastly prefer to every Wario Land-inspired game, which is really good treasure collecting. Coins scatter all over the room, bills fly everywhere, gems have a unique pickup animation, counters scroll up as you grab everything… learn from this, people!!

Yellow Submarine was last night’s movie night. Beyond just being a cool trip it feels like essential vinny vinesauce lore has been unlocked.

Isn’t it kind of weird that Ghostbusters is kind of a completely unique piece of media? Like can you describe anything else that “feels like Ghostbusters”? Is this an untapped market or is there some reason for this?

The funny thing is that Serious Sam 2 (besides it updating in the middle of my playthrough) is that it’s actually a fine horde shooter once it ramps up and you get past the kind of spotty first planet. I’m not a fan of long elevator/lift sequences though. Also the game is still psychotic (neutral?).
