No, the problem is both. The racist fringe has always existed - but until this year, we haven't had since the 1950s at the latest a government that has been unwilling to enforce the law or to condemn racism.
I must be missing something, but I do find this bizarre. No doubt the government can and should do more. But the problem we are talking about here is … the right.

The PM who demonised & divided on race & culture, coddled the Hanson fringe & refused Indigenous rights, denied a complex past & delayed a rushing future says the current bloke hasn’t done enough to protect. Hmm.

I do think Shedeur is a fringe starter in today’s NFL, which has maybe 25 QBs who know how to play the position. And yeah, on a better team Shedeur would probably have slightly better numbers.
