The reason why cyclists and pedestrians push back against these types of campaigns is not because we think visibility is bad (I wear hig-viz!), but because it's victim blaming that diverts attention from the real issues: dangerous drivers and poor infrastructure

Alas our Homebase was carcentric, rather use the cycle parking to sell their promotional goods & dumping of trolleys. Wasn't sorry to see it close TBH as it wasn't the Homebase I used to shop at elsewhere. Definitely not have an eCargo rental.

I don’t think it’s a distraction. The self-isolating hyper-individualistic carcentric suburbia model is at the root of all this. It dilacerated communities, installed paranoia. Any sustainable way out passes by co-creating cities that rebuild trust and foster collaboration.
