Any economically successful countries needs a "underclass" that is exploitable. The US does it with working poor and little to no labour laws. Then takes money from blue states, and gives it to the red states for starvation protection. While the red states give the tax dollars to business.

It is shocking to learn how many people, families, workers in the US rely on help to feed themselves. There is something grievously wrong when the supposed richest country on the planet refuses to ensure all its workers and their families earn enough to live with dignity, let alone thrive. #SNAP

An estimated 15.7 million workers use SNAP. It’s a lifeline for those in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

Thanks for the breakdown Jeff. I know how frustrating it is to move around Ottawa, and for many buying a car has been the answer. The answer is a bolder transit vision for our country’s capital and a reinforcing operating investment until those pieces of infrastructure come online in coming years.

I just had to file a police report because a man thought he’d harass me by leaving a message at my office saying I’d have deserved to die from uterine cancer because I helped immunize people against COVID-19. For anyone not following along on the #Lansdowne 2.0 conversation, the city is taking away funding that was supposed to go towards affordable housing (originally 50% of amounts over $39M) to instead pay for parking construction ($10M). We are literally taking money from the poor to give to the rich.
