a) these changes illustrate how the “smartness” in what’s framed as an individual smart or dumb choice (your major/grad degree) is determined by structural factors in how they’re rewarded, not their intrinsic value

...either make stock periodically by saving chicken scraps in freezer or use this, its the only store bought pre-made spice type thing i buy/use when i dont have time to make stock, but its something you can throw on easily and freeze for later to have for all the things, but this is next best

my grandfather's mom died in childbirth or was disappered, we dont know b/ my grandfather was put into a boarding school/abuse factory for natives. 5yrs later he was 'adopted' by the white man who r*ped/killed his mom to raised w/ new wife. i don’t think people realize how straight up delusional a solid proportion of democratic senators are regarding our politics. i don’t mean that as hyperbole. they are actually untethered from reality
I think this helpfully confirms the notion that the end of the filibuster was a big motivator for the eight Dems.
