What do you mean today is the “13 Years Gone” anniversary for Red (aka the time period referred to at the end of the ATW MV) AND the same day she did her only 2016 performance at the Grand Prix debuting her version of “This Is What You Cane For” AND her Insta post last year for the Miami shows 👀

Even though Gideon appears to be this confident and carefree bard, behind that beautiful facade is a scared little boy who was dealt a bad hand in life.
It began with his mother who would beat and degraded him through his entire childhood, until he stabbed her to death in retaliation. Then there was his teacher Madam Auclaire, who at first glance seemed to love and treat Gideon as if he was her own son. After all, she was so happy for him when he debuted as the Black Rose of the Underdark.
But that “love” was just her grooming and manipulating Gideon into believing that the only way to further his career, was to use his body to seduce and sleep with the right people. Which was always rich and powerful men. In actuality, his teacher was pimping him out just to earn some extra gold, not really caring about what these men did to Gideon as long as he could preform the next day.
But just like with his mother, Gideon would end up stabbing his teacher to death after learning the truth, that all he ever was to her was just a body she could sell to anyone that was willing to pay. However, even though most people would probably say she deserved what was coming to her, Gideon would deeply regret killing his teacher. Even though he hates her for what she’s done, he can’t help to still love her. After all, she had been the mother figure he always wished for.
Nowadays, Gideon is hiding all that pain behind a mask. Taking on the role of a flamboyant and self confident bard, who will never let anything bring him down. But under that mask is that scared little boy who just wants to be loved unconditionally. Just someone who can tell him that he matters. Sadly, he believes to this day that he’s unlovable and that the only thing people care about is his body and talents.

I would assume so, it's interesting looking at it through a political lens, in contrast to the more colorful carefree BRAT era last year, there's this somber sort of feel across genres. Doesn't matter if it's pop, electronica, hip-hop, etc. it's all very black and white or toned down colors

This quilt is an introspection on being biracial in a binary world. Is this a black quilt...a white quilt?
Should the viewer decide, or the maker? Does it even matter? Is this quilt right side up or upside down? At what point is the white just the background or part of the form? All we can say for sure is that the entirety of this design would not exist without the presence of both black and white.

White is the lightest color and contains all wavelengths of visible light. In graphic design, white is often used to convey coolness and cleanliness. It suggests simplicity for minimalist designs. I used different white fabrics and added colored lines to give the design more interest. The word white is stitched in 12 languages.

A quilt featuring several irregular ovals at various angles in shades of red. It is vibrant and difficult to focus on any given part of it. It’s stunning and I could probably stare at it for hours.

Now there was nothing to do except go back to the dorms. Mika trotted after Shu the way he'd always had. They were both silent. Last time, they'd talked the entire way back.

So he's still mad.

It was Mika's fault. He shouldn't have pushed back so hard.

Dried leaves rattled around them, the autumn wind stinging against his cheeks. Shu’s birthday was in two weeks. Last year, Mika had promised to take him somewhere really special. He’d made a list of all the places artists wanted to see in Japan. He’d never been able to settle on one in the end. Oshi-san’s not gonna wanna go now. Not like he’d have time, anyways….it’s not fair. He’s only here for that weird project.

There was only one other person who would even approach Mika’s level of distress over Valkyrie’s recent inactivity, and that would be Cosmic Production’s increasingly ambitious Vice President. Valkyrie was one of their biggest talents - and one of their highest earners. So as the weeks ticked by without anything - no music, no photos, no Lives, no money - the messages he sent Shu and Mika grew increasingly stern.

Finally, he called Shu.

"Itsuki-shi, I understand well what it can be like to not see eye-to-eye with your unitmates."

That much was true. As much as he tried to paint a happy facade, Ibara's frequent disagreements with the rest of Eden - usually Hiyori - were well known in CosPro.

"What helps me is to take a break from that environment, and work with other people who are entirely different. That way, I can return refreshed, with a newfound appreciation for my unit's unique ways of thinking. Ah, but I've been dodging the point. There is going to be a very special collaborative project with another organization. You'll get to create art that's altogether unique. Why not join? It will surely ease everyone's worries."

Mika would have expected Shu to say no. It had always been so hard to get him to agree to collaboration. So when Shu called him to explain the project, he'd nearly fallen out of his chair.

We won't be working together this time. We'll be separate. I hope you won't disappoint me.

For about 30 minutes- maybe even an hour - after, Mika had stood there in his dorm room, feeling oddly detached, like his feet were about to leave the carpeted floor. He gripped one slender wrist in the other hand. It wasn't like they'd never worked apart before. Shu had encouraged Mika to take on solo projects. But this was different. These were strangers they'd never met before, coming to invade the world of Valkyrie, taking Shu away from him. It wasn't right. He didn't want it.

But as always, that same world moved according to Shu's will, and Mika went along with it.

They arrived at the dorms. It was midday, and nearly everyone was out at work or school. The sound of the two of them dragging Shu's suitcases up to the third floor was the only sound, a series of thumps and bangs and at least one sharp admonishing for Mika to be more careful.

No matter how many times he did it, it never got easier, and by the time they'd pushed all the bags into Shu's dorm room, Mika was panting. He leaned over, hands on his knees. Shu didn't seen fazed. He'd already opened one bag and was plucking out his clothes, carefully shaking them out to hang up. Mika watched him, followed his hands with his hands, admired the way Shu ran his fingers over the soft fabric of a shirt, quickly brushing off some unseen speck of dirt. Everything he did was still so elegant.

Mika swallowed, and finally spoke. "Uh- Oshi-san, I was thinkin' if you're not too tired, we can go get dinner at that restaurant ya like?" There was a small Italian restaurant nearby, and every time Shu returned, they visited. The upscale decorations and the foreign words that felt strange in his mouth had intimidated Mika at first, but now the r…

"Not tonight, Kagehira. I have a lot of work to do to prepare for this project. How about you rest?" Shu only briefly glanced at Mika as he arranged his clothes, always grouped by color, then style. Black turtleneck with black turtleneck, never with a black crewneck.

Mika forced a carefree laugh to bubble up. "Ah! No worries Oshi-san, I get it. I'll take a break. We can go another time."

As the door closed behind him, Mika let his eyes close. His thoughts tumbled over and shattered like glass figurines. Among the jumbled pile of shards, though, one thing was clear.

This project was a mistake. Their world was fine with just the two of them. They didn't need anyone else.

Tbf I only had Raph as black because I fr forgot that we could use Splinter to fill in the fifth colour.

I admittedly dont have my ear to the ground on TMNT, but Mikey feels the most green; he's carefree, relaxed and (generally?) undisciplined. While he could be red, he feels mainly green to me.
