BTW, new people, these fools are Fusilli (I know, I know, best puli name ever) and Celosa. They sometimes stop by, mainly to ask for food, but sometimes to accept adoration.

Did you know it's a norm here to use alt text? It helps people who can't see the photos very well, sometimes with humor.

The deportation order is based on Vedam’s conviction for murder—a crime he did not actually commit and for which he’s now been wholly exonerated. He entered the US at 9 months old and was a legal permanent resident before his conviction. We are so, so, so far from the light of justice.

Note: K, an avid acorn hunter, was DELIGHTED at the discovery of bur oak acorns. We went to the one tree I know about in the neighborhood, and he collected every one on the ground.

Oh I get it. The books used to live in my son’s room/husband’s office and my desk was in the living room. We just finished an addition that more than doubled the size of the bungalow, and I’m still pinching myself that it is the same house and I live here.

I’m really pleased with how it has come out. I might hang more art on the western wall, but otherwise it’s exactly what I want.

I’m super lucky to also have a spare bedroom that doubles as the craft room so this one doesn’t have double duty.

This is a really, really good act of protest that uses a protest language that has a chance of reaching people who would otherwise dismiss the issue. You can tell by how many former Catholics are seeing it here and having like entire full-body shudders despite having left the church decades ago.

Final furniture piece for my office / library. Just need to hang the blinds,* and the room is done.

*the eastern sun is lovely, but makes it impossible to see my monitors in the morning, so I need to cut some of the sunlight for part of the work day.
