Do you notice how I don’t have to work at all to find this awesomely embarrassing content? It just falls into your lap, unbidden. It blooms so abundantly that you can wait twenty minutes, then sweep it up off the floor.

One Hundred and One Dalmatians is a gorgeous film. After 65 years, its design is still fresh.

Disney's artists went for a new, adventurous look -- one that Walt Disney himself opposed. We explore how they did it: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/designing-...

Little note in the new Bill on Hate Speech

Good thing there will never be a Minister who acts in bad faith when they go about banning groups.

One of my fave political stories ever: when Maine’s GOP then-Gov LePage thought that not signing bills by deadline meant they’d die.

So he ignored all these Dem bills, thinking it’d kill them.

But in Maine, if Gov just does nothing (rather than veto), a bill becomes law.

So they all became law.

He will without any exaggeration destroy America, reduce this country to a lawless mafia state, start a civil war, start a world war, kill us all, or all at once.

And the biggest obstacle to preventing this remains not his objective strength but that OUR LEADERS WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE THREAT.

The only way the world can be safe in the near term if is Trump is gone from office - because he’s overthrown through some mechanism or because he’s dead. He is a deranged madmen unfit along every imaginable dimension and he is surrounded by evil criminals who exploit him for malignant purposes.

Ultimately if this were acknowledged by the press, by Democrats by other stakeholders it would require them to stop robotically acting like it's 1988. So Democrats do deflections to cost of living, conservatives rationalize it and the press sanewashes his utter derangement.
He’s out of his mind, a narcissistic megalomaniac in an all-consuming spiral of self-pity and selfishness, but the truly insane people are the thousands of powerful men around him who won’t say so and continue to dance around him like this is normal, rational behavior.
(NYT) - President Trump is now claiming that one reason he is pushing to acquire Greenland is that he didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize, according to a message he sent to Norway’s prime minister over the weekend.

It would not surprise me if ICE ends up killing Episcopalian clergy, sadly. Episcopalian ministers go pretty hard in the paint for civil rights.

The story of Jonathan Daniels, an Episcopalian seminary student, pushing Ruby Sayles out of the way of a KKK shotgun blast in Alabama comes to mind.
At last night’s candlelight vigil for Renee Nicole Good, Bishop Rob Hirschfeld of the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire announced he had asked the clergy of the diocese to get their affairs in order and to make sure they have their wills written ...,

Okay here’s an actual take: the fascist international is at war with the very concept of legitimacy.
Their messaging is so fucking incoherent. Maduro was an illegitimate leader who lost in 2024, which is why we're replacing him with his VP instead of the person who won in 2024. We did this to stop fentanyl, which is why he's indicted for cocaine.

We're also occupying Venezuela via Zoom call.
