Me: "I have auditory dis-regulation. Too much noise upsets me!"

Also me: "Oh yay, my favourite band where the vocalist makes distorted pig noises has a new album!"

Happy to say that my fixation on darning socks hasn’t lasted long enough for me to get around to actually doing it :)

Aferah, for a personal project, 2017
Aferah, an illustration by Eleonor Piteira of a woman in profile standing on a desert. Framing her head is a gold sun like a halo, and her long dark hair becomes the night sky behind her, with two pale moons among the stars. On one hand she holds a 4 leaf clover and on another a gold cup tilted down, a gold river pouring from it.

I once worked on a children's book about the locations in the Magic Orphan films (before author's terf era) & I think the amount of effort the designers put into the props was a large part of what made the world so exciting. This Wonder Man merch is such a spectacular failure in world building.

This is actually a perfect example of how using AI robs you of any authenticity. It just looks cheap and fake and doesn’t read like retro sci-fi art at all.

Also using the same face/angle for both things is soooo lazy lmao. 👎

Guess I’m not watching WonderMan.

Marvel employees were asked whether the 'WONDER MAN' poster for the in-universe movie was created using Al.
"Its artwork made by artists but touched up by Al," which was clarified with "so, really Al-assisted Photoshop work," and the response was "yes."

Oil on felt monoprints. Replicas of some old instax photos I took of my favorite bridge in Hong Kong. 8.5x5.5cm. #printmaking
Photograph of 2 tiny monoprints. Greyscale oil based prints on paper. Images are from underneath a big bridge in Hong Kong. Prints are sitting on a water damaged wood veneer surface.

We didn’t need another Tron movie we need another Reboot(1994) that will teach the kids of today that playing video games can kill the sentient beings inside the computer and that going on the internet will cause you to age exponentially.

TBH If I ever had to “pivot” there’s a good 50% chance it’ll be plumbing.

If I was the Nobel Committee I would give the prize to Greta, then say that Trump was in the running but lost it because of his failed ceasefire deal in a way that makes him lash out at Netanyahu out of pettiness/spite.

Bluesky should add something like the Alt-Text reminder, but to go like: "Hey bro, are you sure you want to post this tedious joke about that one guy?"
