An easy way to think about what chatgpt does:
Take your favorite book. Cut it up into pairs of words: every pair that starts with "I," every pair that starts with "the," etc.
Sort each pair into a pile by first word. The "The" pile will be big, the "giraffe" pile likely tiny.

The reason I know that the KLF did not, in fact, burn a million pounds back in the 90s is because we spent some of the £50 notes intended for the fire in the local pub the next day after finding them fluttering down the beach with slightly singed edges. Better luck next time.

The problem with most machine-based random number generators is that they’re not TRULY random, so if you need genuine randomness it is sometimes necessary to link your code to an external random process like a physical noise source or the current rate of US tariffs on a given country.

This sucks, but also means if you want coverage, contact your paper in advance of an action. Give them quotes. Send them to folks to interview.
We did this for the NOAA protests and got wall to wall coverage for a week, with frontpages, opeds, and followups.
