I don't mean to seem alarmed, but it appears Google's book search function is, just...gone.

In a sane country it would be a huge deal, front page news, that a privately owned utility that millions researches, from journalists to scholars, rely on every day to advance knowledge can just disappear.

the end result of AI image, video, and audio generation is that society will no longer be able to rely on images or video or audio to represent reality. Children born today will never be able to assume that just because they have seen something on a screen that it is likely to be true.

and found him using Flock cameras. reminder that it's a viable campaign to pressure city councils to ban Flock cameras right now
a local PD tried to fabricate a criminal investigation against a city resident after he wrote a mild op-ed criticizing the department for investigating a local city councilwoman after a racist crank reported her as an illegal immigrant
A KCUR investigation discovered the department used the city’s license plate readers to track the writer’s movements and it issued a “be on the lookout” for him.

I made a tool that makes retro anime sound effects. Meet AnimeVox!
I made it for a game, but it's free to use.

I'm using the forgotten (but popular in 80s japan) Schroeder reverb algo, and some wobble.

If you find it useful consider supporting me on itch :)

The failure of age-verification laws is now turning into a War on VPNs. The British government and a number of US states are now proposing that VPNs be banned entirely, or only accessible to those who have surrendered to facial scans, ID check and other identity verification.
'The UK war on VPNs is an embarrassment' – backlash grows over proposed VPN age-checks
Critics are warning against proposals to restrict VPN access — but will the plans actually become law?

Okay so is anyone else sort of realising that the reason Adobe is killing off Animate is because they intend to replace animators with slop machines but they know the slop machines can't compete so they intend to kill off animators as a profession by force
