*Crunch* should increase the pay absolutely, but as someone who pays bills and tuition in Japan in a major city where some of these studios exist so can compare my expenses, the reported salary is not only livable but it is very possible to be comfortable

I think another thing about the way game dev costs are discussed that gets muddied is that it seems ppl equate the salary problems of American gamedev or Japanese animation w Japanese game devs and I am always for them getting more pay but like, a starting GF salary is WELL above national average
