they could have literally used some off brand AI prompt to come up w/ branding, like wtf is this league even doing?

The PHWPA+ had like 4 years to come up with their alternative to the PHF and it looks like they were just doing to equivalent of cramming the night before the test.
My daughter shared the jersey designs for the inaugural season of the PWHL (Professional Women's Hockey League), to which I offered a composed and thoughtful response. #PHWL #NHL

The PWHL working so hard to distance themselves from PHF entirely that they've somehow landed on "no identity" as the way to move forward for now. The people in charge of this new league don't seem to have any idea what they're doing.

The entrance fee for senior communities runs 100k to 1M. Most people pay for it by selling their homes. The greatest wealth transfer in history will absolutely be from Boomers to the senior services industy.
Apropos the comments on this, every time I see one of those stories that says “the Boomers are set to make the greatest intergenerational transfer of wealth ever to Gen X” I think to myself “not if the cost of health care can manage otherwise.”

In honor of Joe Manchin retiring, let’s remember the fact that he single-handedly ended the Child Tax Credit, one of the most effective anti-poverty pieces of legislation in recent history, because he thought parents would use that money for drugs.

as has been the case for several years, they have 2-3 really good players, 2-3 guys that are talked about as really good players but don't fit the bill and a lot of mediocrity in the rest of the lineup (+ no goaltending)
I think the most succinct way I can put the #Sens situation is this:

Injuries are 100% a problem, but not 100% of the problem.

a protest vote is not generated by putting a null in the ballot box but by putting someone else's name down in the primary.
But isn’t it tough to hold someone’s feet to the fire if you open with, “I’ll vote for you no matter what,”?

I really don’t understand the pearl clutching over people at a protest threatening to not vote for someone who is pursuing the opposite of their policy preferences. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i’m not pearl clutching. but it is simply true from any sustained study of american politics that “i will vote for you and give you shit” is more effective in getting what you want than “i will not vote for you and also give you shit”
