I am 43 & Every single Republican Presidency in my lifetime has ended in an economic crisis that the next Democratic presidency has had to urgently clean up & yet somehow Republicans are still more trusted on the economy & i feel like I'm insane

i’m not pearl clutching. but it is simply true from any sustained study of american politics that “i will vote for you and give you shit” is more effective in getting what you want than “i will not vote for you and also give you shit”
