After more than ten years of “incremental change isn’t good enough” and you screw over the party that moved us along towards equal rights, you have to wonder if it’s an op. Sanders helped screw over Hillary and with that went THREE SCOTUS appointments.

Funding for ICE is already in the pipeline. Democrats can't stop it without rescinding $ - which would require 2/3 vote. There may be other legislative strategies, but the straight appropriations/shut-down won't work.
One of the most fundamental problems for dealing w/ ICE is the GOP provided years of ICE agent funding in the “Big Beautiful Bill.”
No govt shutdown will end that funding stream, and there aren’t 2/3s votes in each chamber to rescind the funding & override a veto.
Means resistance is what we have.
