We fired people we had no reason or budgetary need to fire and we actually screwed up and fired the wrong people and then rehired them the next day and all because of Chuck Schumer

BRENNAN: CBS confirmed the Trump administration rescinded the layoffs of CDC scientists. Some were involved with the federal measles response. How does a mistake like this happen?

VANCE: The govt shutdown inevitably leads to some chaos. It happened because of Schumer

Q: Who is Mike Johnson being threatened by? I mean, if he's not bringing the House back, releasing the Epstein files ... he seems scared

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think so ... Do I think he's really up to the task? No.

The Trump-China trade relationship reminds me of my middle school love life: On one week, off the week, high drama, passing notes, heartache, renewal, gossip, and we did it all again the next week.

The reality, of course, is that despite the drama, no-one was making long-term commitments.

Vance: I’m sure that in the course of his life he has been paid more than $50,000 for services. The question is did he do something illegal.

Stephanopoulos: I’m asking if Homan accepted the $50,000

Vance: Is it illegal to take a payment for doing services? Low income women can’t get food

Yet Trump will take control of the funds, bc congressional GOP will let him.

New, from me:
Trump's 3 step plan to create a military omniforce
1. Purge - those deemed disloyal
2. Merge - different parts of law enforcement/military
3. Surge - impose the omniforce on Dem cities; instigate unrest; assert dominance; silence dissent

Looks like ICE again has a big, hot mess on its hands. This time with the arrest of a Chicago TV station employee.
Witnesses say Debbie Brockman was just standing nearby when ICE roared up. She was later released from custody without charge....now this:
jsweetli.bsky.social
Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino said today that Brockman has “charges pending.” He also posted a photo of her in the ICE minivan after she was detained.

I asked how she wasn’t charged right away if she assaulted officers and what the charges will be but he hasn’t replied.

@jsweetli.bsky.social This must be a new national ICE strategy to suppress coverage and public scrutiny. They're apparently now sweeping up bystanders in Los Angeles at failed raid sites as well as this reporter (who did nothing and wasn't charged) in Chicago. bsky.app/profile/lata...

Let's not let anyone get away with pretending ICE is at any disadvantage here. These guys travel in big packs- usually 6+ unmarked vehicles; carrying dozens of war zone ready men, masked and heavily armed. ICE is the predator going after regular people and peaceful protestors.

Jim Jordan after he's played clips from videos of ICE brutalizing people, including American citizens: "I don't know the specifics of those examples you gave. What I do know is these ICE agents are under tremendous pressure ... I think they're doing a good job."

They’ve already announced they’re sending troops.

Why is she asking if they will ?

Why is he lying that they won’t ?

After Nevada regulators dropped a penalty against The Boring Co. from $3 million to $242,800, critics questioned whether it was enough to change operations at the Elon Musk-led company, which was valued at $7 billion in 2023.

Elon Musk’s Boring Co. Accused of Nearly 800 Environmental Violations on Las Vegas Project
Nevada could’ve fined the company more than $3 million, but regulators are seeking a reduced penalty of $242,800, citing an “extraordinary number of violations.”

Russia has been using long range missiles to bomb civilians for three years now — each instance a war crime.

Putin should think he needs to leave Ukraine and end the war if he doesn’t like the prospect of turnabout.
