Rabbi here.

The West Bank is absolutely occupied, in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, reaffirmed from the Fourth Hague Convention of 1907, Article 42.

It would be helpful if people who didn't know what they were talking about didn't open their uninformed mouths.
Genuinely curious as to why Wu and others who argue along these lines are surprised that pro-Israel politics are on the back-foot in the United States.

This rings true to me. When I used to be a massage therapist, I loved working with fibromyalgia because I found I could communicate well with a body's nervous system to ease it. I really hope this means more investigation into bodywork as a valid (and insured) medical treatment of the condition
HOLY SHIT. They found the genes for fibromyalgia - and it's *not* autoimmune, it's the central nervous system. It's very cool to see some progress made on the thing that's ruined my life since late teenage years!
Medical Republic: 'Fibromyalgia finally gets a genetic fingerprint'

'Additionally, certain risk loci overlapped with long covid (BPTF) and ME/CFS (OLFM4, RABGAP1L/GPR52), two poorly characterised disorders, albeit with different lead variants.'

In the last chapter of Alice’s memoir, “Year of the Tiger,” she wrote her own future obituary.

The wonderful “oracle, storyteller, cyborg, trouble-maker, activist, night owl” we loved so much closed it with:

“Enjoy all of Alice’s good shit, and may you create some good shit as well.”

one of the great injuries of attempting to cling to a morality in the united states is that the most immoral punishments in the world are delivered routinely, and the most immoral crimes are completely exempt from even the consideration that they might in any possible world be subject to them

it doesn’t warm, doesn’t protect, doesn’t even hold itself up.
I drown because Gaza, the Gaza that fought to rise again,
falls today into the arms of the floods,

Kind of crazy that evidence is mounting that the world is run by a group of rapists, pedophiles, and men convinced of women’s inmate natural inferiority, and the pundit class is trying to convince us that the real social crisis is that men are victimized and lonely because women have too many jobs.
You just know that “Did Women Ruin the Workplace?” bit would have done NUMBERS in this little clique
Something absolutely perfect about Larry Summers riffing about the scourge of woke cancel culture being unfair to predatory men in a friendly email to his pal JEFFREY EPSTEIN.

when you are done watching Bound and trying not to just make out the whole time?

Your next challenge is to watch The Handmaiden and try not to just make out the whole time.

Seems like we're in a Sandy Hook moment.

We can enforce social taboos against pedophilia by shunning Epstein's friends & hangers-on, stripping them of social & political legitimacy; or we can shrug our collective shoulders, confuse legal and moral standards, and in the process weaken those taboos.

My dearest friend set up the weekly and monthly donation options so that we can stay alive after a tent was destroyed just 100 meters away from us last night. The sand covered our faces while we were still alive.

I’m deeply depressed and can’t keep begging one by one for help anymore.
