there is no tradition of masked law enforcement in the United States. Except, you know, the Klan.
Reminder that prior to this organization, not only were these agents unmasked and wearing their names and badge numbers on their chest: their name, job title, work location, and salary was also publicly searchable.
Putting ICE at risk (hypothetically, and without any evidence of it having happened)? ❌

Putting local residents at risk (not hypothetical at all, with indisputable evidence of lethal encounters)? ✅

This is how Congressional GOP views our lives.

More and more people are saying that the center-left political elite has its own omnicause reactionism problem centered around personal grievances against pro-Palestine students and transgender people.
the atlantic has been like this for a long time but man, it really blows that the flagship publication for american liberalism has abandoned *liberalism* wholesale because of trans athletes and woke student governments

As we grieve for Alex Pretti and Renee Good in MN, please do not forget Victor Manuel Diaz, who died in ICE custody after being taken from here. And all others who have died in their custody.

The Texas Nicaraguan Community on FB reports that his mom last heard from him on Jan. 6, when he told her he was planning to go to Minneapolis to start work in a restaurant. 1/3

the trump 2.0 political movement seems to have taken the political nihilism of trump 1.0 and evolved it into, “actually, we should all die. nothing matters and we should all embrace death. let nothing escape. let’s tear down this temple with us inside it. let us all go together.”

Murdering protestors is what dictators do, and it’s what Republican leaders in Georgia want unleashed on our state. Not another penny should go to this rogue agency, and existing funding should instead go to funding what we actually need.

This martyr could be any of us. He is doing what so many of us have been trained to do. Standing and recording on his phone, trying to warn his neighbors, and now he’s dead because armed, masked federal paramilitaries are acting with impunity to perform ethnic cleansing.
Video before it happens is showing this guy they shot in the head in Minneapolis was just standing there videoing them before and they got out to push him back and then murder him.

How many public executions do we have to watch before there is a mass mobilization by democratic lawmakers — national and local — to arrest the killers and chase ICE out of cities?

Why is Dem leadership not on the ground in MN? If the answer is “polls show Trump’s disapproval is only -15 on deportations, but -25 on prices,” thats a Bad Use Of Polling and a complete failure in their capacity as leaders to lead public opinion and fight for democracy and the rule of law

The New Deal, for however flawed it was, was also a victory of American racial and working class solidarity. It is a part of the histories of the “brown, black, red, and yellow” working class peoples who had to fight for their existence here and they want to destroy this history as they deport us.
