When I lived in France we had a sweet old neighbor lady who would spit every time she passed a certain house. Eventually, her daughter explained to me that the home belonged to a man who’d collaborated with the Nazis 60 YEARS AGO. May these ICE goons face a similarly lonely future.

Absolutely right. Democrats backed a national ban on gerrymandering while Republicans pushed their advantage in key states. This evens things up but also draws us closer to real reform.
on the balance i think partisan gerrymandering is bad but the only way it ends is if democrats weaponize it against republicans everywhere they can. wiping out republican lawmakers in blue states might bring the GOP to the table to end the practice.

Aside from the absolute fucking evil of turning old warehouses into concentration camps, it will also have the side effect of hollowing out and rotting every nearby community.
It’s hard to put into perspective how truly massive the warehouse is that was recently sold by the Rockefeller Group to the Department of Homeland Security for $70 million to build a concentration camp in Surprise, AZ. Across the street is a huge neighborhood and a school. It’s 400,000-square-feet.

One problem Democrats face is that the job of chief electoral strategist (Schumer) is increasingly incompatible with being party leader (also Schumer). It's cool that these guys just use pepper spray casually now, against people who are wholly within their rights, without a moment's hesitation. Several shots of them using it as they climb into their cars and drive away, not even a pretense of urgency or need. Just a parting "fuck you" to them.
This is what happened in our neighborhood yesterday. ICE snatched a human being off of our streets, roughed them up badly, and then pepper sprayed legal observers as they documented it all. This is a daily occurrence happening all throughout Minnesota right now.
