URGENT AID REQUEST

A sublet is being held for me(!) but i dont yet have funds to cover rent for it + my storage unit (still applying for jobs)

if folks could help & share, it’d go a long way to keeping me housed thru winter! There is an immediate goal (by Saturday) and overall goal (before Feb)💚

It’s also meant to create an a priori suspicion of solidarity. If I were to travel to Minneapolis, to try to lend whatever aid I could, I’d be an “outside agitator” instead of someone trying to render aid to people whose interests align with mine.
"outside agitators" accusation always an effort to delegitimize organic, grassroots community self-defense, a way of convincing you things aren't that bad, that people's grievances aren't valid, & that this militant resistance taking shape — perhaps inspiring something in you — isn't even *real*
Every time the Trump regime uses the words "funded protesters" and "outside agitators" news outlets need to cut to this photo from last week.

ICE has invaded these communities. Outside agitators don't show up in their fucking bathrobes.

In the last 18 days alone:

- Two men in ICE custody have killed themselves (jails are supposed to protect against this)
- Two men died of cardiac-related issues
- One man was reportedly choked to death by a guard
- One man died of fentanyl withdrawal (family question the medical care provided)
A third immigrant held at Camp East Montana has died, reportedly by suicide. Victor Manuel Díaz was detained in Minnesota. He is the sixth migrant to die since Jan. 1 in ICE detention.

Three years today. The cops are already killing protesters—it's not a line we haven't crossed, it's a thing already happening—but lots of people never heard about or paid attention to this one. So it goes

New: Jake Lang's Campaign of Terror

The far-right influencer and J6 convict Jake Lang has been on a rampage across the country, sparking violent encounters through racist and islamophobic rallies.

Tomorrow, he's leading a rally in Minneapolis.

“The violent left, everybody!” The man shouted into his phone, which he had out recording the whole time. He was trying hard to mimic the candor and mannerisms of the president.

Great piece overall— would add as an addendum that it's very informative who the US does *not^ encourage to rebel against oppression— the Palestinians, Lebanese, Egyptians, etc.
my new piece in FP: The US keeps telling people to rise up against their regimes, then leaving them to die. Hungary, Iraq, Syria...now Iran? I try to offer an explanation for this very consistent pattern. (gift link) foreignpolicy.com/2026/01/16/t...

The reports coming out of Minnesota of the brutality of ICE terror are harrowing. What's clear to me, however, is that the people are rising up to resist this violence head on. Resistance is everywhere. We may be on our own, but we are not alone.

Blessed are the whistle blowers
Resistance to the ongoing brutality is everywhere. One need only step outside to find it.
