El Negro Matapacos was a riot dog that participated in the 2011–2013 Chilean student protests in Santiago, Chile.
He later became a symbol in the 2019–2020 Chilean protests as a sort of resistance to police brutality and to represent the fight for dignity.

Maybe I would like you to tell them Even though the war is over, we still need their support Because we still have no homes to return to, children are without schools, and there are no places to work Everything is still at a standstill here
We will need a lot to be able to start our lives from scratch again
We are also still suffering from the lack of gas and we have to light a fire all the time to prepare food
The types of food are still very limited: no meat, no chicken, no eggs ,etc

I long for the clatter of dishes and spoons during meals. Even doing the dishes, which used to be one of my greatest worries, I now regret ever complaining about it! Back then, there was running water, dish soap, plenty of dishes, and leftover food so what was I complaining about? 😔
