Sophie von Adelung (1850-1927) was a German writer and painter.
Her books, which she often illustrated herself, were mainly directed at young people.
She also translated stories into German from Russian, and wrote regularly for magazines such as Die Frau and Fürs Haus.

Faronne Ollivier (1716-?) was a French pastellist active in Spain.
She applied to the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in 1759.
She was accepted unanimously, making her the first woman to be elected not only to the Academia but indeed to any académica de mérito.

From 1915 to 1927, she ran a successful portrait studio in Holte, north of Copenhagen.

Susan Fereday (1815-1878) was an algologist, botanical illustrator, artist, and Sunday school teacher who made scientifically significant collections of botany specimens in Tasmania, Australia.
She was also a talented artist known for her accurate paintings of the local flora of Tasmania.

She was the daughter of Tintoretto, and sometimes is referred to as Tintoretta.

Marianne Franken (1884-1945) was a Dutch painter, member of, and exhibited with, the Kunstenaarsvereniging Sint Lucas and Arti et Amicitiae.
Her subjects included still lifes, portraits, and scenes from her Jewish neighborhood near the Prinseneiland River in Amsterdam.
