All the books and music in Star Trek is old, pre-WWIII stuff. Probably because after about 2025, pop culture turned into a morass of unintelligible AI sludge.

As Wittgenstein pointed out this kind of argument can't distinguish between "people experience different emotions" and "people describe the exact same emotions in different ways." Philosophically bankrupt theory
A common assumption is that throughout history, people have experienced the same basic range of emotions. A radical field of history now challenges this assumption, Gal Beckerman reports. theatln.tc/KD2QRX9Y

It sucks so much that Philip K Dick could literally see the future.
The argument is that the drones are supposed to respond to lower priority calls, freeing up officers for higher priority ones. The article doesn't make it clear what the drone is going to do about, e.g. loud music next door or minor disputes.
“Dallas’ police chief has said the city may take part in a ‘drone first responder’ program, as it looks for ways to cut emergency response times.”

Heh heh excuse me poor people but let me stop you right there. Like 100 guys have 30 trillion dollars and everyone else is only a few thousand in debt or just scraping by, so the average person is actually rich. 😏
Oh God, he's still doing this. Acting like people don't have debt.

If you want to do something like this, why not buy a $150k home in a small town in Italy, France, Spain, or Mexico, instead of having nine people share one bathroom after they eat at a restaurant called "Stinky's?"

The children who get measles because their parents are selfish idiots do not deserve this. This is why mandating vaccines is important.

When your child asks why they are suffering, why they have gone deaf, blind or died because you let them get the measles---I hope you know it is your fault.
Latest on South Carolina measles outbreak: "Of the 111 measles cases recorded in that area...105 involved people who were unvaccinated while three involved those who were partially vaccinated...At least 254 people had been placed in quarantine as of Tuesday"
Hundreds quarantined as South Carolina measles outbreak accelerates
A state epidemiologist said the spike in cases came in the wake of Thanksgiving travel and a lack of vaccinations. At least 16 cases were traced to a church.

this joke plagues transphobes because it’s an incredibly cutting take on what the modern transphobic panic is, a hysterical panic based off of a lie that transness is fake and that there is an intentional effort from the right to prop up this wedge to destroy all LGBTQ rights
What’s that saying, hit dog holler

Several times in my life, I mocked someone in my insensitive youth for some affliction, only to later suffer from the same affliction myself. The lesson I have taken away from this is that I should start mocking people for having enviably pleasant lives.
