Here's a take. When this is over, we need a completely new constitution. Too much of this was caused by the interpretations of the Supreme Court and the judiciary. Conservatives played a very long game to use the judiciary to get here. We need much more stringent bindings on the executive (1/?).

By who? Who shot the person dead? You saw the video. We all know a federal agent shot a man dead who was prone on the ground. Also, it's not "according to officials." It's according to verified video seen with your eyes. Not saying what anyone can obviously see with their eyes is a form of lying.

I have watched the video of today’s murder several times and I am here to assure you that there were several agents restraining the victim when he was shot, and there is no way they were worried he was going to shoot one. Even if he had a gun, and I think that’s not true, he was not free to use it.

Policing as an institution must be abolished at every level. You can't reform a system that allows local PD to brutalize marginalized people, and you can't reform one that allows federal police to execute people in the streets.

I don’t think we should be using words like “innocent” or “US citizen” or “bystander” or things like that because — what if someone was an undocumented immigrant with a criminal record? Would they deserve this? No one deserves to be executed on the street in cold blood.
