having an "Backlog" just makes you sound constipated. you can own up to the fact you don't have infinite time to explore everything that might interest you
you're free to disagree I view the experiences people have of watching or playing something to obsessively logged and reviewed on letterboxd and co to be akin to something like hardcore collectors or achievement hunters. it's just pigeonholing your earnest hobbies into Internet Points.

honestly the more I'm online the more I'm more inclined to trust someone whose an cynic and an pervert on an incredibly specific subjects rather than someone whose moderately knowledgable and repeats platitudes. you can respect someone without necessarily liking or even agreeing with them

to muse on Halo further it's legitimately fascinating to me is that while the switching of genres and signing with Microsoft on the Xbox forced them to get economical with CE they still tried to pull out all the stops they could. Bungie had an hard time compromising but they took it well.

I have created a transparent status bar replacement for UZDoom. Even the automap is transparent! It works with Doom, Freedoom, Chex Quest, and Adventures of Square.
If you are playing a supported Doom mapset, different status bar gfx will automatically load, like for BTSX.

the Gradius I/II PCE ports are some of the most fun I've had with old arcade conversions. minor differences/sacrifices aside their very faithful and the extra stages included in both's rotation are quite good

trust me there is an lot I hate about Microsoft and their software suite but Linux is good for everything but what most people actually use computers for without hours spent configuring workarounds, installing packages or fiddling with foss software that are worse derivatives of something better
this is why linux sucks. i'm sticking to difficult racist backdoored bloat slop windows because i'm a serious adult
