i feel like a problem i have playing any sort of Dark Souls adjacent game is when I spend so long chipping away at an area and finally beat its boss I just feel... satisfied

I feel like if you make a port/remake/remaster that removes lives from an arcade style game, you're obligated to add a death counter sternly glaring at the player the player every time they fail

Trying Dariusburst CS on my janky multi-monitor setup and this is cool as fuck???
The game was clearly designed for a single ultrawide monitor and not two monitors of very different sizes, but it's kinda fun trying to mentally connect the dots and track hazards between screens
