For all the short term focus on frozen Russian funds and medium term rush to rearm Europe there is not enough focus on how European strategic self-reliance can only be sustained in the long term through the routine issuing of collective Eurobonds by the EU to finance it.

Can people finally stop talking about US antagonism toward Europe like it’s 9D chess tough love posturing or an act to boost US arms sales and admit the current US admin is just anti-Europe even when they don’t think anyone’s looking.
But the messages also reveal how much these idiots hate Europeans, and how they view every relationship not as an alliance but as a protection racket

Very good that US news media is totally uninterested in the POTUS openly doing crypto securities fraud from the White House and the VP’s widely documented links to online white supremacists.
This is so surreally corrupt it’s hard to even grasp. US media is incapable of processing it - directly using the White House to promote a meme coin with hidden ownership structure.

It still stretches the limits of my cognitive abilities to comprehend how this administration is still spending more time and energy on made up fairytales like annexing Greenland than actual ongoing conflicts the United States is involved in.

What an achievement vaccines are. What a monument to our love for each other it is to stare straight into the face of something as horrific and unstoppable as smallpox or measles or polio or cervical cancer and say “You know what, it doesn’t have to be like this.”

Liberals have never been anti-war. This has never been a thing for hundreds of years. There is no pacifist tradition of liberalism. We are not Quakers.

Does literally fucking anyone read political philosophy anymore.

-Campaigns don't matter
-GOTV doesn't matter
-Democrats are incredibly vulnerable to a bad media environment because they don't have their own

As with most media these days, it's not for a broad audience. It's meant to be funny to a very specific, insular group of leftists
I genuinely don't know what's going on over there sometimes. Like this one in particular misses the mark in pretty much every conceivable way

The billionaire is using the power of his social media platform to spread falsehoods that officials say are hampering recovery efforts.

every time i read a “hard hitting” interview w/harris it explains why she won’t talk to them. she is the vice president of the united states, a former senator and attorney general of the state of california, and her interlocutors behave as if it is their duty to interview her for an entry level job
