Stephen Miller shrinking in the corner with a teeny tiny voice: This is Insurrection!

Philly Residents: This is Tuesday Bitches!
I've heard rumors that Philadelphia is next for the ICE invasion after Minneapolis.
Maybe I'm wrong, but
1) More than 11% of all ICE agents are in Minneapolis, and they've utterly failed to pacify the city.
2) Philly is 5x the size of Minneapolis.
3) "Minnesota nice" is a thing. We don't have that.

This is the same demented logic Israel uses to excuse their human rights abuses against the Palestinians.
Tricia McLaughlin on Renee Good: "I think if the individual was killed last week by an illegal alien, I don't think we would be seeing any protest."

There won't be any regime change in Iran. In our constant desire to not meaningfully engage with Iran we lose site of the fact that the vast majority of Iranians do not live in cities and are not protesting.
While I'm supportive of the protesters in Iran, it is a tad annoying to see protests of tens of thousands treated by our media as a sign of pending regime change, while 6 million people showing up to No Kings last year was treated by the same media as being barely newsworthy.

I lived in Illinois for 30 years and I will never forgive Indiana.

They know what they did.
So Stranger Things has finally come to an end. At least people are now educated about the horrors of Indiana.

Naturally the only thing more dangerous to Israel than a Palestinian living in their own home is a Palestinian living in their own home and daring to talk about how the Israelis treat them.
"We’re monitoring what you do online. Disseminating, writing, or publishing inciting content online is considered a terrorist crime in every sense and may lead to arrest or imprisonment. We have warned you."

Israel warns Palestinians that posting about their suffering will be considered terrorism.

I really want to see what happens when a SEAL commander with an itchy trigger finger orders a strike on one of those Luxury Yachts by mistake.
Part of me wants to see what happens when a bunch of Trump megafans take their luxury yachts with the MAGA flags and try to interdict actual cartel operations.

The Wieners Circle has excellent hot dogs. It wasn't far from my last Chicago apartment.
Chicago is having none of this administration's BS.

Easy fix. Donald Trump participated in an insurrection on Jan 6th 2021. Per the 14th Amendment he was ineligible to hold office. All his actions taken during this illegal tenure are null and void. And we throw every last one of his pardons back in jail.
Mass pardons are coming. There will be no accountability without treating those as null and void. And that means a future administration taking an official position that Trump is not the legitimate president right now because he is disqualified by the 14th Amendment. The two things are inextricable.

Japanese reprisal bombings in China for the Doolittle raids alone are comparable to the deaths in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The thing that really gets me about this entire conversation, is thousands of people under Japanese were dying on a weekly basis directly from Japanese actions. Why are their lives less important than those in Hiroshima and Nagasaki?
My question, as always, is what would you have done to get Japan to surrender? Continue fire bombing? Blockade Japan until everyone starved to death? If you say negotiate, what are you willing to give up? Democracy? Occupation? Executing war criminals?

Yea this plan was ass. But it does have Trump's signature greed, so ethier the Russians played him perfectly or this isn't true.

Both are bad.
Republican Senator Mike Rounds said Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in a call to senators, confirmed the so-called 28-point “peace plan” was actually a Russian wishlist and is “not the administration’s position”. Nor is there any threat to cut off weapons or intelligence to Ukraine.

This is a sign of how dangerous it has always been to not be Conservative in America. We are perfectly willing to allow extremism as long as it is far right extremism.

Kash Patel looks hilariously uncomfortable here.

This is the face of a man who deeply regrets having the three bean burrito for lunch.

Had Steven's gotten his way with Reconstruction I firmly believe we would not have gotten Trump. Stick that in your alt history pipe and smoke it for a bit.

Also after watching the movie Lincoln I cannot stop imagining him as Tommy Lee Jones.

Knock knock.

"It Opens."
One of my personal heroes, hit the nail on the head.

I can't believe their are Democrats considering embracing Marjorie Taylor Greene after seeing the reaction to Kamela Harris campaigning alongside Liz Cheney.

The 7YW is vitally important to the AWI. The trouble is we tend to paint a narrative ofthe taxation England engaged in with the American colonies post 7YW as exceptional rather than a fairly ordinary act of metropolitan colonization.
Maybe, the 7YW is actually the more important 18th century conflict?

I will see myself out.
I agree. My students don’t understand why the Stamp Act is important without discussing the SYW specifically because narrative wise it doesn’t make sense to them why England suddenly comes in trying to reassert control and pushes hard on the issue on taxes.
