It’s very ironic that for the last five or years people have been very vocal telling me over & over again that doing any research with the “founders” is useless & irrelevant, but now those same people are constantly quoting & referencing those men to criticize the current administration.

Mike Johnson -- who is, yes, theoretically a lawyer -- has not had a chance to look at the American Constitution because he's been very busy lately, folks, he just can't see everything, gosh, how is he supposed to know if it's wrong that the president called for the execution of congress members?

New goal for my dissertation is to finish final edits for chapters 1-3 along with a more full draft of chapter 4 by the end of Thanksgiving break. I think since I'm getting started now that I might even be able to get the rest of chapter five expanded as well.

I agree. My students don’t understand why the Stamp Act is important without discussing the SYW specifically because narrative wise it doesn’t make sense to them why England suddenly comes in trying to reassert control and pushes hard on the issue on taxes.

I just think it’s good that he talks about the Seven Years War. I don’t think that that’s something that’s especially well known in the general population.
