Debating truth is pulling us apart. Seeking the truth can bring us together. Understanding and supporting science, exploration and research is more important than ever, so help us shine a spotlight on those seeking answers.

Incredibly destructive. We must not only fight this and make reinvestment in science a post-Trump priority, but we need to find new ways to support research and researchers.
This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.

Who is the pro-science lobby? More organized pushback is needed across the country. We know things are challenging at the federal level, but states could make the situation even more dire.
Two conversations, one question: What happens when science and lawmaking collide?🔬

Anti-science bills are on the rise across the U.S. Plus, a Louisiana law limits whether regulators can use environmental data collected by communities.
States Expected To See More ‘Anti-Science’ Bills This Year
In 2025, more than 420 bills were introduced to weaken public health measures for vaccines, milk safety, and fluoride. What will we see in 2026?

Truly fascinating finding. What could it lead to?
New study suggests that metastatic cancer cells may evade the immune system by stealing mitochondria from immune cells and setting up a ‘shield’ that protects them from being killed by immune cells. Wiley little bastards.

Cancer might evade immune defences by stealing mitochondria
Hijacking the energy-producing organelles from immune cells seems to help tumours in mice to infiltrate lymph nodes.

This kind of thing has been happening for too long. The actual purpose (or correct funding amount) is irrelevant to them. They just find something that sounds weird enough to get certain members of the public worked up. This is why telling the story of science and research is so important.
Not only has Rand Paul increased this cost by a factor of 10,000, there was actually useful science behind the research as I explained in 2021.

Certainly American corporate media has problems, but a good rule of thumb is, if someone says, “don’t let media mislead you,” then they are probably about to mislead you.
Our acting CDC director seems comfortable downplaying pediatric respiratory disease by calling it “similar to last year.”

Last year wasn’t safe. Children died at record numbers.

Public health policy should be built around prevention, not normalization of preventable harm.

We must not allow this to happen. It’s essential we explore and launch new funding mechanisms.
In 2025, the Trump administration’s cuts to research grants sapped scientists’ appetite for bold exploration. In its place, the country may be stuck with more timid, short-term thinking, @katherinejwu.com reports.

Research provides real answers. Much better than influencers.
🚨 NEW: One of the largest COVID-19 vaccine studies ever (28 MILLION people in France) just dropped.

Results?
• 74% lower risk of death from severe COVID-19
• 25% lower risk of all-cause mortality
• No increase in 4-year mortality
