The worst offense was a piano version of the song (sans lyrics at least) at a funeral. And not a funeral for some weirdo like me who would find that funny af, for a very sweet grandmother figure. My partner and I exchanged a LOOK when it started playing.

I used to read LOTR once every 1-2 years growing up and haven't in 8 years. I'm not even 50 pages in and I forgot just how good the writing is. I blame Tolkien for my high standards for fantasy.

The worst question I've seen when querying is "why are you the person to write this" and it's like, because I'm writing the story I want to read. Why else would I torture myself with the process of writing and editing and feeling like I'm slowly going crazy for what will assuredly not make me money?

I had a dream last night in which I was at a doctor's office and somehow we started talking about trrpgs and it ended with me running a game for a doctor a nurse and a tech for like 2 hours before they had to go back to dealing with patients. They were like "same time next week?" And I woke up.
